Andrew Macara is a Derby based painter whose accomplished a work has a wide and ever-increasing following. Many of his paintings in oils reflect his worldwide travels, but a substantial number of his works depict scenes and locations in Derbyshire.
Since 2007, Andrew has begun completely new series of paintings. These may loosely be described as “Reflections”, as the paintings are based on studying the surfaces of water. The surfaces of both water and ice, offer a new way in which to observe the natural world.
