Jeremy Ford FIGA  BWS

Jeremy Ford lives in Ackworth near Pontefract in West Yorkshire, U.K. He studied Graphic Design at Southport College of Art, in the North of England (1972-5) and Illustration at Harrow College of Art, London (1975-8) and has been a professional Artist and Illustrator since then, illustrating a wide variety of books, magazines, and greeting cards.


He has had work commissioned by The Royal Horticultural Society, Bradford Exchange Limited Edition Plates, and American Express Travel Guides amongst others. Jeremy is a Fellow of the International Guild of Artists, a member of the British Watercolour Society, and has a Certificate in Education.

Jeremy Ford is one of the UK’s leading professional teaching artists and is a friendly and engaging tutor.

“Dramatic Flowers” is a two day studio-based course for students who wish to develop their interest in painting flowers using a vivid and spontaneous style. Jeremy’s step-by-step demonstrations are aimed to steer students through the creative process, paying particular attention to the importance of light, tone and composition.

“Autumn Landscapes” is a three day course for students looking to capture the seasonality and beauty of Derbyshire

landscapes.

 

Arranged in a series of demonstration-led workshops, Jeremy will tackle some of the more challenging aspects of watercolour landscape, from colour mixing and compositional arrangements to the use of washes and final finishing touches. Weather permitting workshops will be held outdoors.
