Watercolours the "Weltonway"

16-18th July 2013

£285 Day Attendance

£540 Residential

This three-day course will consider the physical qualities of paper and paint. Peter has evolved a strategy for teaching watercolour painting which rests on an analysis of the particular qualities inherent in both watercolour paper and watercolour paint.

Students are introduced to Peter's five methods of applying paint to the paper in ways designed to capitalise on them. Through the use of specially constructed exercises, students will maximise their potential in applying paint using each of the five ways most appropriate to every stage of painting.

Students can choose to paint either from an en pleine air subject or can bring photographic resources.
